La ciudad me habita
Esta exposición es el resultado de la una residencia artística en la que las dos artistas, Laura Romero y Margara De Haene (margaradehaene.com), realizaron una exploración visual y sensible acerca de cómo la ciudad habita, con la intención de producir un autorretrato a través de los espacios urbanos en los que han vivido y cohabitado.
Durante la estancia, se experimentó con distintas aproximaciones del libro arte, fotografía, fotolibro, instalación y cerámica.
“Pensar y cuestionar el territorio en el que habitamos va más allá de una imagen simplista. Esta mirada Kantiana, no es sólo físico – geográfica, si no que construye una nueva identidad: nuestra identidad. Una mirada desde lo extraño y lo nuevo al principio, que a simple vista puede ser común y ordinario para otros. Reconocernos en aquello frente a nosotros”.
“Un hombre se propone la tarea de dibujar el mundo. A lo largo de los años puebla un espacio con imágenes de provincias, de reinos, de montañas, de bahías, de naves, de islas, de peces, de habitaciones, de instrumentos, de astros, de caballos y de personas. Ser la Ciudad
Con la mirada, logro una adaptación que me identifica con el lugar en el que resido, personalizándolo, haciéndolo mío, de tal manera, que el escenario habla y me define. Una edición personal que refleja momentos e instantes únicos con los espacios que me van cautivando por su sola existencia al pasar, descubriendo algo nuevo cada vez.

This exhibition is the result of an artistic residence in which the two artists, Laura Romero and Margara De Haene (margaradehaene.com), made a visual and sensitive exploration of how the city lives, with the intention of producing a self-portrait of through the urban spaces in which they have lived and cohabited.
During the stay, he experimented with different approaches to books – art, photography, photobooks, installation and ceramic sculpture.

Be the city
With my eyes, I achieve an adaptation that identifies me with the place where I reside, personalizing it, making it mine, in such a way, that the stage speaks and defines me. A personal edition that reflects unique moments and moments with the spaces that captivate me because of its existence as it passes, discovering something new every time.
